Chasmanthium latifolium is a native grass of the central & eastern US. At the edges of the range, it is rare and, in some states, Endangered.

It’s a beautiful flowering plant and thus used as a garden ornamental.

Thank you. The arch of the fruiting stems is what is found naturally. Grasses are beautiful plants and, unfortunately, overlooked.
