The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
When we were at the local park where I photographed the Magnolia I posted last in this forum, we wandered down to the shore of the inlet the park is located on and there was a wild cherry tree almost at the water’s edge. This clump of blooms happened to be about head height, so it was pretty nearly irresistible.
Specific Feedback
I did quite a bit of exposure reduction in the upper right corner to reduce distraction. Was it effective? Any other suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

Lovely!! The light and whites are gorgeous, as is the composition – I love the shower of buds and leaves cascading down from the blooms. DOF is excellent. For my taste, you could bring down the UR even more. The flowers and buds are such a lovely isolated subject that I don’t need to see farther back on the branch. I wouldn’t mind a tiny bit more canvas top, bottom and left.
Thanks for the input @Diane_Miller. I definitely see what you mean about the upper right corner. I’ve reposted the image with that corner modified and a touch of canvas added everywhere but the right.
Oooh the revised version is fabulous. I love the dappled light in the blossoms - it shows up so much texture and modeling. The contrast between the “sleeping” buds and the “awake” open blossoms is really nice and shows the progress and life cycle quite well. I wish these were more convenient for you to show the fruiting as well.
Dennis: Beautiful subjects and I love this kind of light. On the original I would be OK with the OOF BG features but that one leaf really grabs my eye. I think making the whole corner go away is better. If I was in the field and no one was looking I would be sorely tempted to prune that leaf . Nice find and a fine presentation.>=))>
