Ah yes, a beautiful black and white image with lovely luminosity and a wonderful tonal range. I appreciate how the foreground rock anchors the scene and provides a “block” to prevent the white water from leading my eye out of the frame. Also love this shutter speed as the moving water has a rich texture to it.
Hi Guy,
This is a beautifully rendered B&W waterfall image with a wide range of tones. Like @Bret_Edge I too love the luminosity of the water and the details created in the water with your chosen SS. Beautifully done!
I need to find some of your locations! This is beautiful. Slight nit pick, it looks like there is a twig or something in the center of the water fall, a slight dark line - I wonder about removing that?
Hi Elizabeth, I’m so glad you like the image. Yes there is a twig/small branch in the center of the falls. There is another further down on the left. I don’t mind them. I really love nature in all it’s chaotic ways, the same chaos that made the lovely swirling details deposited the twigs. Call it Wabi-Sabi or the eye witness tradition, I accept them and embrace them as part of the package of life.
