Cloud Sprays Over Port Valdez

On the dock at the North side of the Valdez Bay and shooting toward the mountains and the sunrise (11:20 AM) on the North side of the bay. What got my attention was the spray of clouds that looked like they initiated at the sunrise and spread across the whole visible sky. There was no way I could get it all in with my 16-70 lens so I turned the camera sideways and shot 5 vertical format photos and stitched them to get this wide angle view.

Sony a6300, SEL1670Z @ 16mm, ISO-100, f/8.0, 1/250, hand held, 5 vertical photos stitched with AutopanoGiga.

Great clouds! What an unusual look to them. Your title is spot-on. Good stuff.

Gorgeous, Gary. Those clouds are wonderful.

Another outstanding panorama - hand held ??? You have very steady hands!

Alberto; You don’t have to worry about perfect alignment when stitching with AutopanoGiga. It aligns them and stitches them together seamlessly even if they’re tilted in relation to each other.

A beauty! Gorgeous and unusual clouds!

Gary, the “flow” in the clouds is great, it really pulls the eyes over to the mountains.
