Great detail, Gaurav, and nice pose. I’d be inclined to remove the reed coming up from below and behind the bird and maybe remove the one barely visible above it. Either way, a fine image of the Yellowthroat.

When I view the uploaded image at full size on NPN, it seems less sharp then when I view it on my computer directly. I have followed the 1500 pixel guideline and. Is this to be expected?

We’ll see what others think, Gaurav, but I think there’s very fine feather detail around the head and upper body and the blacks and whites are handled well.

This looks fine to my eye, Guarav. That guideline is a bit dated and most of us are posting at around 2000 on the long edge (I use 2048 because my camera club likes that number and it’s easier to keep it consistent). I happen to use LR for my export to jpeg and it lets me just set a maximum file size which I have set to 2MB and it’s always been more than enough. Some people post full size images and let the site reduce them, but that’s not a good idea as the size reduction algorithm it uses isn’t the greatest for maintaining image quality.

This is a lovely Yellowthroat image with a nice pose and background. While I would have liked not to have that stray reed in front of the feet, it’s not a big deal either. The whites and blacks are handled beautifully.

Welcome to NPN, Gaurav. A really sharp shot of this attractive bird. I’d just be tempted to remove the reed at 2 o’clock above the tail, but you say on your website that you don’t clone objects, so I perfectly understand that.

Mike, thank you. I agree that that object is worth removing. I have more recently been debating this and if i should do limited removal of small distracting elements but not big changes. I have already removed one reed in this image.

So far my website photos have no removal or cloning. If I change that, I will update my website.

I think where I might be landing is that removing small distractions is ok but I don’t to want to make more wholesale changes that take away from the sense of the habitat. Definitely don’t want to touch the subject.

HI Gaurav, fine catch of this warbler with great details on the head and body and terrific colors. Too bad about the reed crossing the feet but this is still a really nice image.

Hi Gaurav
The Common Yellowthroat has stunning feather detail, coloring, and eye contact. The out-of-focus branch is something, but that nature, and sometimes you have to live with it.

Another nice shot. Good detail in this yellow throat. I don’t find the distractions to be that much of a big deal.
You got a good body position and a nice stare from the bird. Colors and detail are fine.
