Cosmos World

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

On my routine garden patrol this morning I spied our cosmos growing vigorously. With the name Cosmos this little scene reminded me of a sun with two moons. It was a bit of a trick getting the focal plane lined up but a stack was impossible due to the wind. I still like how this turned out. >=))>

Specific Feedback

The BG is crazy busy with long stems going in every direction. I burned down some of the more egregious and bright stems. BG still too busy?

Great job lining up the focal plane, Bill. That’s not easy to do and even harder with stuff bobbing in the wind. A fine image of this array.

A gorgeous image!! I’d bet the flower is sharp enough to let you select it (and refine the selection as needed with a tiny brush in Quick Mask mode) and then inverse the selection and play with softening some of the BG elements.
