You found a quiet place and took us there nicely. For me the arching trees and the light in the tunnel are the aspects ofmthe scene I find engaging. The dog and the bright areas in left center take me away from the central scene. I tried burning, cropping and dodging right trees a bit. But I admit, if the light on the left could be tamed aa little in your crop then it might lead into the scene from the left.
Umm… The whole point was the contrast between the contrejour foreground against the high-key background to create depth in the style of Turner. You flattened out the whole image.
Jaap, a fine image and let the dog stay. I like the B&W and composition. A place you want to be. So a strong image. And the dog even leading my eye.
Thank you. A good lesson for me.
Wonderful as presented. Did the dog turn and walk down the lane away from you?
No he didn’t;he ran towards me. He knew there were dog biscuits to be had. His name is Donuts.
