Very dramatic scene! I think you could do a just slightly lower contrast version, or maybe just a slightly higher exposure would do it – maybe then pull down the Highlights a little. It feels like it needs a slight CCW rotation. Zooming in on the ripple confirms it – a line through its most elongated points should be horizontal.

What a great image with its colors, the amazing banded sky and its reflection in the water. I agree with the comments given by Diane and do not have anything significant to add. However, here are some minor comments. I would have liked to have more of the tree to the right in the image, but probably that was not possible! You could also try to darken the upper (and maybe lower) left corner.

I have a bad habit of pushing the sliders a little too much. Now that you made me look at it , it is leaning a little. I really like that ripple.

Hank,

Wonderful and dynamic “reflection-scape”. Great clouds that make for even better reflections. To add to the impact of this, a terrific autumn landscape. Great colors.

I had similar thoughts as Diane and my initial impression this was a little dark and a little heavy on the contrast. Of course this is all within the realm of personal choice, so take these as suggestions - not as anything right or wrong. I do think that some added luminosity and reduction in some contrast I think would elevate this striking scene.

Thanks for sharing!

Love the tension produced by these clouds. The image just wouldn’t be as good without them.

I wish I could have widen the lens some more, but it’s on the edge of a subdivision and would have had a house in the image.

thank you all for you comments

The clouds stood out to me too; I much prefer this image to the prior. Great thoughts by others; a few tweaks and this is very nice Hank.
