Hi Allen, I like the composition and light. The bird has the great pose at you as well. I do see a few Juncos here in Knoxville but they never seem to perch in the only tree in our yard.
Sweet! You have captured wonderful detail and a very nice pose. They are common here and always seem so friendly and sweet. The cedar is a lovely setting and I like the OOF branch in the UL corner, but the amount of negative space in the center makes things feel imbalanced to me. I think there is a good option to crop from the top and right to make the bird bigger in the frame. It could also be successful to move that OOF branch down and to the right to match a tighter crop.
Allen this is a wonderful image of my favorite bird. Love the light, pose, and your processing.
We have a group of 6 Juncos that have made our yard their primary year round residence. Love watching them.
I hate to sat it Allen, but that cedar is a better perch than your setup. I love the oof background in this one and a good junco is always very photogenic.
Agree about the perch Dennis. Now if I could only get them to land in that one spot in the cedar.
The cedar works well for this junco. Soft lighting is also a plus for this tack sharp junco. Well done…Jim
