The perfect title for this image, Bill. More depth of field would have been really nice to get both flowers nice and sharp, but I don’t know how far you can push the iso on that camera. Very cool first outing.

Small flying insects are not the easiest subject to capture, Bill. You picked a challenging one and I think it came out pretty good, especially for a first. Looking forward to more.

Thanks Dennis. I can go over ISO 10,000 to try to get a smaller aperture. I’ll experiment. Thanks for the feedback. Bill

Bill: This is really good for a 90mm to be able to get this close. I’ve been spoiled by using a 200mm for years now so I appreciate the skill involved here. You managed the plane of focus especially well even though the right flower is just a tiny bit OOF. Very well done. >=))>

It’s interesting how well the smaller bee with yellow/black colors balances so well with the two larger flowers above. I like the composition as it’s not a normal close-up on the bee… very intriguing to look at in a larger size, too.
