Desert in Bloom

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This photo is from the California desert in January 2024. Although not part of the spring super bloom, this image is evidence of how wet the last two winters have been in California, even in the deserts. The Sand Verbena were in full bloom during the winter, and they were everywhere to be seen in this particular area.

Specific Feedback

General feedback would be welcome, along with any helpful suggestions on how this image might be improved. Thanks.

Excellent DOF, vibrant colours, and amazing sky.
Can’t find a thing to improve!
Very fine work -

A fine shot. It looks as if you got low and close. Sand verbena make a terrific subject.

Thank you Sandy.

Thanks. Yes, I did get a little lower and closer to the flowers in the foreground, as I shot this with a wide angle lens.

Nice scenic image with great color, texture, contrast, and point of view. Welcome composed. Always nice to see the desert in bloom.
