As I was driving to town I saw a Cinnamon Black Bear sow and a cub grazing on the Spring grasses & weeds along the power line corridor. When I stopped to take a photo you can tell that I interrupted their meal. The surprise came when I zoomed in for a closer shot and noticed a black bear in the brush behind the sow! It was a second cub that obviously retained the Black Bear genes.
Here is a better photo of the black cub surprise. I titled it “Power Play” for an obvious reason.
