About This Image

We came upon this bat eared fox out and about in Botswana. At first he was walking and hunting but then he plopped down and dropped his ears. Ears down and smiling (like most bat eared foxes appear to be smiling) it was just the cutest thing!

I would appreciate any thoughts and comments on the composition and framing. What story did the image tell you? Any advice for improvement are very welcome .

Comp & framing work for me. The balance of the grasses works well and I like the soft sand bed it chose. One thing that I might try if it were mine is to increase the contrast in the face since it’s so striking and in nice sharp focus. Also a very slight vignette or some graduated filters around the edges to darken might be a good idea. The light is too special to really mess with though.

I think the composition and framing are wonderful, and off the scale on cuteness. I like @Kris_Smith suggested increase of contrast in the face. While it is now the center of attraction, with a bit more contrast it should stand out even more. Excellent.

Kris, thank you very much for your thoughts and advice. I’ll give them a try:grinning_face:

Jim, thank you for your recommendation, I’ll definitely try increasing the contrast.
