Foxy

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I stalked this fox with my long lens for about 15 minutes. I like this frame because it seems to capture their foxy essence. I was glad to not be a mouse.

Specific Feedback

I love the pose and curiosity displayed by fox.
I may crop from the bottom till small rocks and tone it down too.

You have captured a great image of a fox clearly focused on something. Your image also really highlights how big their tails are and how beautiful and photogenic foxes are. I have photographed many foxes, but I think my images are typically from the front perspective and I haven’t seen the relationship between the size of the tail and the body. Here are couple very minor suggestions. First, I would remove the grass that runs into his head below his right eye. It is noticeable in the enlarged image. Second, I would suggest doing selective sharpening around the eyes. I think this would help emphasize is focusing posture.
