Description
I was taking pictures of wildflowers and noticed this grove of aspen with an oak in front of them. Looked like tentacles of an octopus to me.
Specific Feedback
Format? I cropped to achieve this result which resulted in an unusual format.

Jim, not much reminds me of Upton Sinclair, but this is an unusual and effective composition.
The title is lost on me too, but this is very striking and the choice of B and W suits it well. The contrast of grasping oak and upright, delicate aspens seems metaphorical. Maybe I should read Sinclair!
As an English teacher, I’m guessing this is a jungle. Is it urban too?
I love the light in this and the tangle of branches. It almost feels like an ink drawing.

@Don_Peters @Marylynne_Diggs @Mike_Friel Oops! Your confusion over the title is understandable. How about Frank Norris? Thank you.
