Eastern Forest Sunset

Our new home provides some fine sunset viewing through the forest. While I could wish for slightly fewer branches, I’m not about to start a major thinning project. (5D3, 100-400 @ 263, 1/10 s, f/14, iso 400, tripod and 2 s timer)

Nice. I have the same issue here. The house faces due east and looks out over the river, but lots of trees in between. The DNR will only let people clear 30 feet of shoreline which is a good idea, but makes for a tangled sunrise. The color gradation you caught here is so rich, but not overemphasized. The trees are part of the charm and the wildness.

The wild collection of branches look really good in this one. Kind of an abstract sunset of sorts. Looks good.
