Ecuador Street Lady

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

There seems to be no social net for disenfranchised people in Ecuador, and the streets of Quito are full of heartbreakingly poor people.

Specific Feedback

All thoughts welcome

Technical Details

Taken at the big Quito sunday market with a little Panasonic point-and-shoot. I didn’t want to drag around my heavy gear for the afternoon.

Very nice shot of this lady, Sandy. Lots of character in that face. I’m on a laptop, but the saturation, particularly in the skin tones seems a bit high.

Hi Dennis - This is a very old, weather-worn leathered face and the colours are true.

Wonderful capture! That skin is so common on the older Mexican workers around here – it reminds me of a very worn saddle.

The abysmal living conditions of so much of the world are heart-breaking.
