Egyptian goose and goslings

What technical feedback would you like if any?Was shutter speed and ISO OK for this image?

What artistic feedback would you like if any? Composition to tight? Should there be more room in from of the goose?

Any pertinent technical details:Canon 7D M II, Tamron 18-400mm @400mm, 1/500 @ F-10 ISO 1000 taken from a slowly moving vehicle in South Africa.

I do think some more room in front of the goose would be nice, John. Excellent detail in the main subject, but the goslings are rather soft, I suspect from depth of field rather than shutter speed. I’ve been able to work the 7DII consistently at iso 2500 which would have let you go up some more on your f/stop, but I don’t know if it would have been enough to get them really sharp. shooting from a moving vehicle really complicates things.
