Image Description
This was one of the first images I shot on my workshop up in the Canadian Rockies. It snowed, I had my iPhone, but I didn’t quite square up, and straightening it in post cut off the edges of the two end chairs. The far shore curves, as does this patio area in the opposite direction, and the view through trees is unique from this spot. Despite the flaws in composition, it’s among my best “fresh snowfall” images of the last year and a half.
I think the freshness of the snow (it’s still falling, if you look closely) communicates the end of the season of Adirondack chairs and the beginning of the season of club chairs by the fireplace.
Feedback Requests
Mostly just participating in the weekly challenge. I hope to get up to Mt Hood this weekend, but who knows if I’ll process it in time.
Lots of lessons on mindfulness of the frame in the field here. I learned them quickly as someone swept the chairs clean and moved them around by the time I decided it was a worthy subject and ran back to the room to get my Canon.
Pertinent Technical Details
It’s just an iPhone shot. Not sure why the filename says Canon 5DIV, but I need to look at my export naming settings.
