Eruption

The bird bath was frozen the last few mornings, and I’m always fascinated by the patterns of the trapped bubbles and cracks in the ice. This was taken after adding warm water (which enhanced the cracks). The original image had the triangle slanted considerably to the right, but it felt like a volcano when I looked at it, so I did a bunch of rotation and used a bit of content aware fill and cloning in the upper left corner.

Specific Feedback and Self-Critique

I just love abstract patterns (or lack thereof) and ice bubbles really appeal to me.
