Frozen Bubbles

Image(s)

Image Description

A very hard freeze even froze the bubbles created as the water cascades into my pond. That created some interesting black and white texture, interrupted occasionally (due to ice thickness) by the colors from birefringence.

Mark: Frame filling fantastic. The bubbles are very cool and the color splotches are the icing on the cake. Top notch shot. >=))>

Mark, this is “frame filling fantastic” as @Bill_Fach put it. It would have been nice if there was more color, but that is out of your control, and a very interesting and pleasing image as presented. So much shape, texture and color throughout. This would be a tough jigsaw puzzle to do using this image!

The image presents a wide variety of bubble sizes , which allows me stay focused and explore the image. Nicely captured!!

Hi Mark,
I am loving this intimate scene from your pond! The bubbles with their various shapes and sizes spread out across the frame are amazing as well as the splashes of color contained in a few of them. Yes, IMO there is enough color to keep my interest. I find this to be very unusual and intriguing scene. Beautifully done.
