Agree with Matt on the crop. Well done there. By not including the sky per the original, the cropped version takes on an abstract and impressionistic feel to it. I also like the band of blue at the bottom which helps balance out the warm colors above. I enjoyed the hint of subject created by the ICM technique. Nicely done Mario!
Mario, great ICM! So impressionistic and painterly. And 100% agree with the decision to crop. By simplifying the scene, you’ve strengthened the story and mood.
The only question I have is about the position of that lone tree. It’s just slightly off-center enough that I get distracted by it. I think I see why you cut closer on the left side (the denser golden section to the left), but I’d clone over that section using material from between the gold band and the tree to balance it out. For your consideration.
