Another beautiful ICM from this area, Mario. The light, particularly that on the land, is I think what appeals to me most in the image.
Hey Mario,
Looks like I have some catching up to do! Been traveling so not much time for NPN lately.
This is another wonderful ICM/ME-ICM. A seascape ICM if you will. I really like the balance between the surf, beach and sky.
I like this very much as presented. However, to your question, for me, no, this does not evoke a peaceful response. Not a bad thing though. The darker, heavier contrast and saturation evokes more of a dark, moody almost haunting feeling. To me, a much lighter, more pastel, “fluffy” presentation would seem more peaceful to me. Again, not a bad thing, just the way I’ve interpreted this image.
I could see an alternate presentation, perhaps cropping up from the bottom to remove the brighter surf in the LR. And then as I was thinking, more luminosity, less contrast, you might be able to bring to a more peaceful scene.
No matter, this is still a beautifully executed ME/ICM.
