Anthony, the long fuzzy “hair” on this cacti stand out well. I have mixed feeling of wanting to “pet” this cactus, but know what the result would be… Black and white shows off the long hair well, with the dark rock background adding a good sense of a desert environment.
I think this is a very nice small scene that works very well in B&W. One idea could be to lighten somewhat the darkest shadows to reveal a little bit of the texture there.
