Thank you for the comments George. I normally don’t “see” panoramic when I’m shooting, but I think your cropping suggestion is a good one. Here is a re-post with a more pano crop, it does come out nice.

I did a quick crop on my iPad and I think it’s a good alternative. Well done! A little burning of the tree might be something to try…either way this is an awesome image.
It reminds me of foggy scenes on Isle Royale in Michigan’s Lake Superior. Fog has a strong visual presence and always creates a mysterious ambiance.
Alain, thank you for your comments on my image. I love to shoot in fog, it’s such a great simplifier. Luckily, I live someplace where fog is pretty common, and I try to take full advantage of it.
You are welcome Ed. I like your photograph with the fog. I enjoy photography foggy scenes myself but we don’t have many of those in Arizona unfortunately.
