Description

A little red squirrel kit in Yellowstone. There were 6 of them, scurrying around and chasing after each other. Fun to watch!

What a neat find, Sandy. I love the way he is sitting on the piece of wood (may be what’s left of a fallen tree). Many of us visiting Yellowstone probably wouldn’t have bothered to point the camera at a squirrel, we would be looking for bear or something more in line with what we went to Yellowstone to see and photograph. We would have missed this nice pose and shot. The smooth BG makes him stand out nicely. I can’t think of anything to improve the shot.

Hi Sandy,

A cute pose for this extremely mischievous species. I’m picking up a little cyan cast to the image and you may want to reduce the saturation for cyan and or warm up the WB slightly. Otherwise, a fun shot worth taking…Jim

What a cute little one Sandy. Nice to catch it working over the cone. Nice perch, and nice BG too.

Beautiful image, you may crop out some perch and make it more recrangular, if you like.

A beauty Sandy for me for two reasons, the technical perfection of the shoot and the PP together with the nice moment caught as you always do. The figure has an horizontal trend therefore I see better un horizontal composition that also reduces the background empty of ditails.
