Red Squirrel

At the end of my hike in the forest this morning I saw this squirrel running on the ground and then perched on this branch eating a pine cone!

This is a cute pose on a good isolated perch. I’d try a crop to chop off those brighter background elements on the right. I’m curios what you were going for with the sepia.

You do get good squirrels, Vanessa. I’d echo Terri’s thoughts. A red squirrel for me is all about its colour. Great pose and perch.

Hi @Terri_Barnett and @Mike_Friel thanks for your feedback! I felt like the color version was so dark green in the background that it kind of overwhelmed the squirrel and I liked sepia better than black and white for the squirrel. I’ll post another one in color for you!
