For me there’s a certain subtle beauty to the Gadwall. I liked the complementary colors of the water.

My first thought when I saw this was “who posted my photo?”! I recently shot a right facing side profile of a male Gadwall that looks just like this! The only significant difference is that the water is blue in my photo. I agree with you about the subtle beauty of the Gadwall ducks. Nicely captured with good exposure and detail.

Hi Allen, nice catch of the Gadwall - the water is complimentary so well seen and captured. I’d run another round of sharpening on the bird’s head - it looks a little soft to me.
