Golden Crowned Sparrow

One from the trip David Schoen and I took a couple of days ago. I really liked the geometry of the reeds in surrounding this sparrow. I did remove one seed head that crossed behind the sparrow and some messy stuff in the lower right corner. I left the other seed head in because I’m pretty sure that’s where the messy beak came from and I kind of liked the line.

I like the light and the pastel colors and all the reeds especially… the more I look the more I like.

I think this is an excellent shot! I agree with all your comments on the geometry and choices you made. Just beautiful color. Well done!

This is a beautiful shot, Dennis. Love the colors, the lines, and you have such wonderful detail in the bird. I wouldn’t change a thing, and would be thrilled if I had took it!
