Golden Eyes

What technical feedback would you like if any?

What artistic feedback would you like if any? Should I have highlighted or lightened the eyes more? Would reducing shadow and De-Hazing the water around the snout for better definition of the head made this more distinctive?

Pertinent technical details or techniques: Nikon D500 with Nikon 28-300mm lens

1/1000 sec F5.6 300mm and ISO 280

(If this is a composite, etc. please be honest with your techniques to help others learn)
Image cropped of additional background ripples and greenery. I did a slight lightening if the shadow area in the eyes.

EJ, you have successfully highlighted the eye in my opinion. But the image looks a little posterize when looking at the bigger file. I am not quite sure what’s going on though.

Adhika,

I uploaded the file via my iPad using Lightroom Cloud.
It may be that the file was “optimized” by LR for internet posting.
It was a large file to begin with. I will check it out.

Thanks for the input!

EJ

Love the watching eye and the abstract ripples!
Some more canvas on the right may help.
