Not knowing the area at all, I was rather lucky to have picked a spot that was not in fog that morning :smiley: This meant that I could pick out interesting details with my telephoto lens, as they were revealed to me. But the real magic happened when the sun finally did rise above the horizon and bathed the whole valley in golden morning light. Simply tremendous!

The gentle orange tones, the very subtle changes in brightness and the silhouetted ridges come together here beautifully, Martin.

A beautiful image. Great soft colors, just enough details to keep your attention.
Nitpicking: maybe I’d clone out the power line that’s leading from the house to the left edge of the frame.
