Larry: Really nice portrait of this beauty. I like the subtle BG details and think they add some interest vs going to all black. My only small suggestion would be to crop some from the sides so that the frame is filled more with the BG. Top notch shot though as is. >=))>

Larry - really nice image of this rose. Great detail, soft light, darkened background. My only suggestion mirrors Bill’s thought on cropping the sides. I like to use a 1 x 1 frame crop on my floral shots unless trying to place the flower in its environment - it puts all the emphasis on the flower itself.

Agree with the cropping suggestion. I would also suggestion a tiny reduction in vibrance/saturation. The reds are bleeding and reducing the details of the petals.

Hi Larry, I agree with all, a beautiful portrait of this rose. Fine details, nice lighting, which includes some of the background too. I do like Terrance’s idea of a 1 X 1 crop…not all subjects display best in the traditional 3:2 aspect ratio.
