Gray Hop

I grabbed this backyard gray squirrel scampering around. I was using my Z9 which truly is a boon to getting in focus action shots.

Specific Feedback Requested

It’s hopping thru a very busy area of fallen leaves. Does the subject read well enough amongst the clutter?

Love the action shot, Dave. My only thought would be to crop just a bit off the bottom might help reduce the cluttered feel? Nicely seen.

A really nice behavior shot of a common animal Dave, right in mid leap. Enjoying the detailed whiskers and bushy tail. The leaves and green background enhance the environmental feel of the image; better than if he were on grass I’m thinking. Since he’s running in a diagonal direction, I would leave him the space to land without cropping much, perhaps a bit off the LR corner where the green is.

I love that leap, it’s very well executed !
I may crop the bottom a bit, also burn the ground. The squirrel may benefit from boost in some contrast.
