Nice angle and head turn, Sandy. Excellent detail in the bird and I really like the detail in the epiphyte on the perch. This looks like the Laguna des Lagarto setup? They’re one of the few places that really pays attention to their perches from a photographic point of view.

What a beauty! Colors are like a splendid flower. It’s the first time that I see this splendid bird.

Really nice Sandy. Love all the elements here. Fine details and color throughout on the bird, interesting perch and complimentary BG. Well done.

Thanks, Dennis.
Yes, Laguna des Lagarto with Nate’s group, January 2023.
I’m heading to Brazil in August

Sounds like fun. I’ve looked at that Brazil trip several times but haven’t bit yet. By the way, there are some of the other morph of this at the Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge if you get back that way.

It would be great to meet up again!
Alaska with Ken and those gorgeous red-neck loons was excellent!
I have to dig up those pix again…

I love the amazing colors and details you have in this one Sandy, bird, branch, feathers, and foliage. That looks like a great set up for success. I know this is a big bird, but I wonder if a bit more space on the top and on the left would help?
