Description

Here are a couple more great egrets I saw this week at the state park pond. First shot is landing pose before the sun hit the pond. Second shot is at first sunlight with an egret losing a fish as it jumps away.

Technical Details

Canon R7, 400mm f4 DO IS II, 1.4x extender III, monopod
First shot: ISO 2500, f5.6, 1/1600s
Second shot: ISO 1600, f5.6, 1/2000s

Processed in DXO Pure Raw 3 and Photoshop. Straightened each shot and removed some sticks.

I like the first for that ridiculously long neck sticking straight up, Allen. The second is just plain gorgeous and the fish leaving in haste adds a great story to the image.

Hi Allen
The first photograph gives the viewer a nice look on just how big these Egrets are and the second post show great inter action of between the Egret and breakfast. You might look at color balance in the last shot.
