Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I visited the state park pond this morning and found several great egrets fishing there.
Specific Feedback
I haven’t done any water clean up. I may or may not depending on how I use these images.
In the flight shot at the end, the bird is angled away from us so this may not be a keeper for me.
Any thoughts on the above?

Hi Allen
That has been a very productive pond for you. Are, the first three frames in sequence? It’s nice to the Egret’s shadow in these frames and you can also see the affect of the sun coming up. The water in the first frame helps setup the story in the last frame. All three photograph are nicely framed, with good control of the whites. In the last shot I think you may able to get more detail on the Egret’s wing.
I believe this frame is also worth keeping,
Peter
Nice series here Allen. They all look like they are sequential, even the last one flying away. I know they may not all be the same bird, but nice sequence. Great handling of the whites. Great details and colors. Nice compositions. I would like to see a bit more room in the first and the fourth (flight). I’d love to see more of the reflection as it looks really good from the wing tips. Nice job getting the wingtip touching the water too. You might want to consider blurring the BG in the flight shot somehow.
An excellent series of the hunting/feeding behavior, Allen. The fly-away at the end is very fitting and works well as a close.
Nice series. I like the flight shot with the wing touching the water and how the light shines through the wing. Agree with Ed about a bit more room to fly into. I wonder if more blur on the background would give a greater sense of motion.
