I like the wing position too David and the colors are really nice. Good selective focus on the eye/head. Pretty subject and overall image.

A pose you almost never see, David, which is a real bonus for this image. Nice head turn and excellent detail and color.

The wing shape is really neat. Super sharpness in the face and eye. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hummingbird with a blue tail before - it contrasts so well with the green of the back. Seems to have a somewhat thicker bill than most as well. Great catch.
