I got this guy in the las moments of sunset light recently.

Specific Feedback

I treated the bright patch of sunlit bird the best I could. Does it need further attention?

Dave I like this image especially the leg in the air .Yes that bright spot is a problem and needs to be darkened .I would also try dodging the black area on the face just slightly to make it pop out a little more

Great pose and perch, Dave. I’d go back to the raw file and pull the highlights down quite a bit to help tame the brighter areas then do some selective adjustments on that bright area. My eyes go right to the bright area instead of the face where you want them to go first.

The composition works very well.

My only nit is the hot spot on the Pokey left leg. The coloring and detail look good.

A different pose, for sure. Good detail and color in the upper parts and works well with the background. Can you bring down the highlights on the lower parts?
