This isn’t much an an image other than a record shot of an interesting creature. I had never seen a hairy armadillo before this encounter. Kind of a cool looking thing. Quite fast across the ground and apparently very sensitive to sounds so tried to be very still and actually set my camera in a mode to minimize the mirror slap. Image from South America.

Not sure if this was possible, but subject calls for a lower POV, I like to capture such subjects, lying flat on the ground at eye level.
Definitely an interesting looking critter, Keith. In this image it looks pretty good sized, but that’s difficult to tell. How does it compare with our southern ones?
