Description

at the park a while back and decided to take this image … i saw it with contrast and made the water black with some grays… I used whites and grays to highlight the leaves… gave this simple image a different vibe…

Specific Feedback

This style of photography has become my favorite for myself … what would other photographer have done to this simple image. sometimes its the tone that is more important than the composition in my view. all comments welcomed … always learning !!!

Gill, the tonal relationships of the brighter tones against the darker ones stand out for me in your image. There is also a nice strong diagonal line created by the overhanging branch. The lighter tones on the left and the reflection of the tree are interesting elements to the photo. To me they signal the passing of time. The black sections that dominate much of the photo imply the past. The flicker of light and life are represented by the brighter tones.

Thank you so much. I love contrast black and white photography and I try to make my images pop out with the grays , blacks and whites. Hopefully keeping them balanced. Your words on this image really made me go back and look at this image. I really appreciate what you said. :camera_flash::camera_flash::pray::pray::pray::camera_flash::camera_flash::pray::pray::pray:
