Elephants are so amazing and I’m happy every time you share one of your photos. I wish some pachy species still lived in North America, but at least we still have them in other places. This one is positioned so perfectly and the raised foot is a bonus. Lovely work as always.
I love the mid-step you caught him in, and the lovely forest setting with soft light. I want to think I can hear the ground rumbling, but having seen how slowly and carefully they move, maybe he was completely silent. I love the tight framing which makes him look even bigger. A wonderful tribute to an amazing animal!
Jagdeep, I do believe that this is my favorite of all your elephant images so far!
Jagdeep: the soft light and the environment and the pose of the elephant all capture the tranquility of the scene. Catching the elephant in mid-step is a plus.
