Another from the archives, with no relation to nature photography except perhaps the ravages of maritime climate on hangar doors. Shot in 2009 in Gold Beach, OR.

It was an HDR DNG of lost provenance, but probably PS – don’t even have the raw files. Tweaked just slightly in LR and into PS to straighten verticals.

I figured this was yours when I saw the thumbnail, Diane. Nicely seen and I love the shadow cast on the corrugated wall.

Hi Diane

It’s a nice shot, nice composition on the diagonal and very nice shadow. The colours are well reproduced, and everything that needs to be is in focus.

Diane: At one time I thought it might be neat to go flying with you but after seeing this, maybe not :wink:. I like finding stuff like this and even if it doesn’t elicit a bunch of wows it’s still fun to make the capture. :+1: :+1: >=))>

Thanks, @Dennis_Plank , @Huw_Thomas and @Bill_Fach ! Every airport maintenance shop has a trophy wall of mangled parts – some rather artistic. For perspective, my husband is a retired senior airline captain and he won’t fly on anything but the small planes he maintains. The drive to the airport is the scary part. :upside_down_face:
