I just made the first two prints, a 12x18, and a 15x23 and both look great. I also made some test patches sized for 20x30 and they still look great. I am heavily leaning and about the print a 20x30 and display it tomorrow at my weekly showing. Thanks again for all the suggestions for improvement.

I wanted to add one more image to this thread before moving on. I spent some time earlier today and identified stars and the constellations they are a part of. Just for interest.

Since 2003 I have been showing my photography almost weekly at a local farmers market, except for rainy days and when the market is not open a couple of times of the year on Sundays. It runs from 9 am to 1 pm in Campbell, CA. I started selling my work back in 2000 in the art fair circuit, but by 2007 the cost of doing a weekend show was overshadowing the revenue in sales, but for some reason the revenue to cost ration at the farmers market was much higher, so in 2007 I switched to the farmers market exclusively. I tried several different markets, but Campbell was the best. I was there today with 4 prints of this photo, all matted: a 15x23, a 12x18, a 8x12, and a 6x9. The 6x9 and 8x12 both sold. Next week I hope to have the 20x30 framed and in the show. Here is my booth in mid-setup form last week.

What a great set up. Never even thought about a Farmers Market. Hey, as long as you enjoy it and cover the entry cost it’s all good. If you make a profit even better. Thanks for sharing that.

This is simply incredible. Like others I suppose, I’m ineptly qualified to really critique this to any helpful level. Although from my viewpoint, your progression of revisions have been brilliant.
Again, can’t speak to the technicals really, but did want to address the “artificial light” on the central tree. I actually think the end result takes this “Milky Way” landscape to another level. Yeah, I suppose someone unfamiliar would question the source of the light, but the fact that the upper half is what is lit, just simply tells me, the slope of the land or some obstruction out of frame is blocking any light from hitting the entire tree. Not an issue for me visually or compositionally.
I think the balance between having light/detail in the foreground, given a “dark of night” photography - is perfectly balanced.
This is simply outstanding Youssef. Oh, and thank you for sharing your “weekly” details. Kudos to you for maintaining and persuing your craft for all these years.
Just a quick note that I’ve been wanting to circle back to this image once my eyes let me do more computer work and add my applause. Congrats on the EP; well-deserved!
