Hyena Portrait

As we drove by a termite mound, we saw this hyena at rest. Its position midway up the mound offered the opportunity to take this eye level photo. I liked its pose and the unusual setting.

What technical feedback would you like if any? Any and all.

What artistic feedback would you like if any? Any and all.

Pertinent technical details or techniques: Nikon D500 and 80-400 lens at 1/500, f/6.3 and ISO 1400 and cropped to about 80% of the original. It was an overcast day.

Very good, Richard. I like the way the Hyena is sandwiched between the tree and the mound and his focused look really makes this image vivid.

Great positioning and the focus of Hyena makes this shot !

Splendid image, beautiful setting and I find very natural the lateral attentive pose of the hyena.
