Icy Evening

First freeze of the season on Robe Lake, Valdez, Alaska. A thin layer of ice covered the whole lake and because it was so quiet, you could hear the ice pinging and cracking as it expanded. This is multiple vertical frames stiitched into the panorama.

This is gorgeous Gary. The composition and the very subtle pink coloring on the mountains and clouds. I like how the ice draws your eyes to the mountains.

Wow, this is super. The smooth texture of the ice and the clear(ish) sky frame the mountains well. The lines in the ice lead me into the frame to those gorgeous highlighted mountains.

Nice Ice, Gary. The sweep of the frozen lake with it’s details and reflections looks great. The late light is working well on the mountains and adding some nice subtle color in the sky.

Utterly gorgeous photo. I have no suggestions…it’s perfect for me.
