This was my first time seeing and photographing nesting marine iguanas. Naturally, I went for some more detailed closeups when I could, but this pattern stood out to me while walking above a group splayed out over the lava rocks and sand below. The triangle was obvious, and I liked have the crowd of “onlookers” grounding the shape and the overall image. Color was fine (though bland), but I do like the emphasis monochrome places on shapes and patterns.
