I'm building a backup app for photogs. Need testers

Hey folks!
I hope this is allowed here. Shout at me if it isn’t and I’ll delete it

Short version is that I’ve built a Mac App that is designed for photographers by a photographer (that would be me!) who also happens to have done >25 years in Tech. One of the many recurring themes on posts to photography forums is about having lost images. Either because they weren’t backed up, or the backups couldn’t be restored because they were corrupted, etc etc.

I also realized that most backup solutions are built by engineers, most of whom forget that normal people who don’t want to be IT/Tech experts need to be able to use them as well. Photogs want to photograph, do post, and make sure their stuff is backed up, safe, and recoverable. I looked at a good few apps, and came to the conclusion that there was a gap for something that normal people could actually use.

It still has a long way to go in terms of features, but right now it will copy from a source folder to up to 4 destination folders, and do a bit level comparison between the source and the copies to ensure they’re identical. There are a few other features, but this post is already too long.

If you have a Mac, and have images you’d love to be able to back up easily and be confident they’re actual copies, please reach out and I’ll let you have the download link. Happy to post the download link here too but didn’t want to break any rules about self promotion, which this probably already is

Konrad, this sounds GREAT and would be very useful. Unfortunately, I use a PC.
