The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This is a composite of three shots. After I did this, I put it aside for a while but I came back to it.
Specific Feedback
I’m mostly interested in immediate reactions.
A couple of the saguaros are peeking out from behind others. Ideally, I like to separate the saguaros when I take a shot like this, but nature doesn’t always cooperate with that goal. This was the best compromise I could find.
Technical Details
Since it’s a composite, the technical details were varied.

Interesting “photo”. I am interested in the details of capture and synthesis. Are these infrared photos or did you produce the effect in post? What is the subtle texture that can be seen in the dark sky? Inquiring minds want to know
Youssef, the saguaros were in one photo. The mountains in the background were in another. The texture in the sky comes from a third photo, a multiple exposure of vegetation, which I reduced to 13 percent opacity so that it would be barely there. All the photos were taken with a standard camera. An invert layer in Photoshop accounts for the tones. The moon was created with a radial gradient in Lightroom. I thought it added to the impression of a nighttime scene. I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted from the start.
Very interesting nightscape, Don. It has quite and infrared feel to it. Great job of merging the three images and it really helps to have a good vision of where you’re going with it.
