Description
One of the Ink Cap mushrooms popped up in a local wet area by the river in Brookings. These are edible when young, but dissolve into black, inky , unpleasant liquid goo as they mature.
Something different for me.

Hi Sandy, I like the composition here and low shooting angle. Nice how the mushroom rises up from all the soft texture in the bottom of the image with a smooth background up top. Well done.
Oh, nice, Sandy. I agree with @Allen_Sparks comments. I’m not familiar with Ink Cap Mushrooms. It sure makes a nice subject, and you did a fine job composing and shooting this. I like how the darker line in the BG mimics the dark ring on the mushroom.
Perfect depth of field in this image, Sandy, with nothing but the mushroom in focus, yet enough texture to show that it’s in the grass. Very nicely done.

Yes, I was using the viewfinder, and my ground pod - flat on my stomach, and my back paid the price.
I have GOT to learn to use the articulating thing…
