Were All Connected

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The fog was slowly lifting as the sun started coming up. I looked out my patio window and saw steam coming off the fence and tree behind my house. And there in the red plum tree were spider webs connecting every branch. I had never seen it like that before. They seemed to cover the whole tree. I looked around, and to my left was this great big tattered web. I could see the due on it and had to get a shot. With the light I had shinning on it, I liked it best in B&W. I tried to get the steam in the shots and still show all the webs.

Specific Feedback

I did crop out most all of the FG fence in the shots.
I was trying to capture a little eerie feeling with the steam coming off the fence.

Technical Details

R5 M2, 70-200mm, ISO 400, f-11
I tried to use as little PS as possible, noise, clarity, sat., contrast.

Skip, what a cool set of images! You got the light on the webs very well, and the different webs, with the mist and great colours makes for wonderful shots.
I think I like #2 and #4 best - #2’s bright web and soft mist is really neat, and that tattered web (#4) is amazing.
Really fine work -

Thanks Sandy @SandyR-B , I agree with you. After looking them over, I like #2and #4 as well. The light was just right. I looked again today at the same spot and could only see a couple spider webs. But nothing like I did see.

These are really amazing Skip. It looks like you’ve had teenagers decorating for halloween. Cool shots.

Thanks Ed,
